Did you get your armor? If not, you can join me and a friend of mine. I'm helping him get his armor. Only thing is - you need to be on EU server and online around 7pm GMT. And if there's more of interested, just whisper me in-game and we'll set up a team.

Exactly, FoW armor seems to be worth it, but when you get yourself a set, it's pretty much the same as your old armor. Most people buy it to impress people, but noone's really impressed, and you never get compliments.
15K Luxon / Kurzick ftw!

I believe I'm the friend in question
Yeah, My guildy and I are hoping to get to the forgemaster some time this evening so we can both get our armour and the godly healing of Antigone agreed to assist us. If you'd like to join out group, just PM me. That means 4 reliable folk will be there and you'll probably have greater success than you average pug.

I get a lot of compliments about my FoW, probably a couple times a week. But I didn't buy it to impress people. At the time, it was the only armor that didn't make a female Ele look like a total slut. I wanted something that looked more suited for battle than a strip club.

I don't think I will ever bother to Obsidian, too much work and time. Plus I like the kurzick 1.5k/cantha 15k combination better for my monk. What's the going rate of ecto's these days anyway?

Lowballers buy for 6k

My guild tried to get her there last night, took us 40 mins from start to get to the final seed when she err 7'd and was cut off about 5 mins before crafting.
I hate that. There was a friend of mine who DC'd 4 times in a row, just about when they were about to click craft. I could hear the screams from here(they lived in Norway).
Anyway, I pm'd you with the offer of a re-run. Maybe we could combine teams and have 'an all stars' armor craft run. Would be fun and will help a few people to boot.

that was the only reason my ele got full fow set
i've noticed that err007 happens more often than it used to - every fow group i've been into lost at least 1 played cos of err7. so mb its a good idea to have 2 tanks (in case 1 will lag out), 3 monks (for the same reason) and fill the rest with nukers.... this way u'll make it to forge no matter what. also i've noticed that majority of post-nerf eles (a.k.a. factions eles) bring firestorm and such, so if u're thinking about joining a pug, try toa, not zin ku. if u have a friendly rit spirit spammer, u're lucky, rit in fow group makes monking a walk in the park.

I agree, I think eles in general have the best reason to get fissure. For male eles, it's one of the few armors that doesnt have the dorky tailcoat/dress look.

That's so true! I've had more compliments about my neon pink female knights armour than the FoW armour.

It's dumb, but I think the eBayers have pretty much forever tarnished the reputation of FoW armor.

What reputation would that be? Having a lot of time on your hands?

Yes, but so it is with all MMOs other than Guild Wars. It's still better than the reputation for being a spoiled little kid who stole his mom's credit card.
